The Centre d’Encadrement des Jeunes pour le Développement d’Uvira (CEJDU Asbl) is a legally registered Congolese non-governmental organization (NGO) operating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). CEJDU Asbl holds all required national registration documents and operates in full compliance with Congolese nonprofit regulations. Established to promote sustainable community development, CEJDU Asbl focuses on empowering youth, women, and marginalized communities to become agents of change within their societies,and it was established in Jully 2020.
Although CEJDU Asbl does not hold independent 501(c)(3) charitable status in the United States, the organization maintains strong international partnerships and operates under fiscal sponsorship agreements with reputable intermediary charities in the United States, Canada, and Europe. These fiscal sponsors serve as official partners for CEJDU Asbl, allowing the organization to receive international funding and contributions in full compliance with donor country regulations. All donations made through these fiscal sponsors are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law, ensuring that supporters and institutions abroad can contribute to CEJDU’s initiatives while maintaining transparency and accountability.
The fiscal sponsorship arrangement is legally documented, with CEJDU Asbl holding a valid sponsorship letter from its intermediary charity partners. This agreement enables CEJDU to access grants, donations, and collaborative opportunities from international donors who require charitable tax status for contributions. It also ensures that all funds received are managed according to the highest financial and ethical standards, with clear reporting and oversight provided by the fiscal sponsor and CEJDU’s internal management systems.
Through this structure, CEJDU Asbl provides an effective, reliable, and compliant way for individuals, foundations, and organizations around the world to support global development causes in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
